Complete this form to request a letter to verify your status in order to apply for a drivers license.
This letter expires 30 days from the date it is written. Plan to take your written and driving exams during this period.
ATTENTION NEW STUDENTS:
OISS cannot issue a letter until 10 days after you have arrived and checked in with our office.
Please do not submit this request until the right time.
- Please review Driving in St. Louis for more information about the documents you need and how to prepare for the Driver Examinations.
- Dependents do not need their own letter and should use the F-1 or J-1 student’s letter.
- Graduates on OPT do not need a letter from the OISS. For more information about what is required for F-1 Graduates on OPT, please click here.
When & Where to Pick Up Your Letter:
You may pick up your letter from the OISS in the Stix International House on the Danforth Campus THREE BUSINESS DAYS after submitting the form below (Saturday and Sunday are NOT business days). Our office is open Monday-Friday, 9:00 am-5:00 pm. You will need to present your ID to receive your letter.
Note for Students at the School of Medicine:
If you are a student at the Medical Campus and you would like to pick up your letter at our office in the Mid-Campus Center, MCC Suite 2043, after you submit this form, you must also request special pick up by emailing email@example.com so that we can arrange for your letter to be sent there. Please note that document pickup times are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:00-2:00 pm. You will need to present your ID to receive your letter.
