Election Day Mock Election Results Announced

Thanks for everyone who participated in our Mock Election for International Students and Scholars.  The turnout was great and we enjoyed talking to all of you about the election process.

As part of the election, we included several state and national races including the St. Louis area Senate and House of Representatives races.  The final results from our mock election are as follows:

Winner of the Mock Presidential Race: Hillary Rodham Clinton & Timothy Michael Kaine (D)

  • 72 people voted for Clinton/Kaine (65.5%)
  • 29 people voted for Trump/Pence (26.4%)
  • 3 people voted for Johnson/Weld (2.7%)
  • 1 person voted for Castle/Bradley (0.9%)
  • 4 people voted for Stein/Baraka (3.6%)
  • 1 person voted for Bernie Sanders (write-in) (0.9%)

Winner of the Mock U.S. Senatorial Race: Jason Kander (D)

  • 55 people voted for Kander (56.7%)
  • 23 people voted for Blunt (23.7%)
  • 12 people voted for Dine (12.4%)
  • 4 people voted for Ryman (4.1%)
  • 3 people voted for McFarland (3.1%)

Winner of the Mock U.S. Representative Race: Bill Otto (D)

  • 45 people voted for Otto (50%)
  • 28 voted for Wagner (31.1%)
  • 9 people for Higgins (10%)
  • 8 people for Arnold (8.9%)

Winner of the Mock Gubernatorial (Governor’s) Race: Chris Koster (D)

  • 61 people voted for Koster (61.2%)
  • 22 for Greitens (22.4%)
  • 6 for Spragins (6.1%)
  • 7 for Fitz (7.1%)
  • 2 for Turilli Jr. (2.04%)
  • 02% for Mickey Mouse (write-in)

Winner of the Mock Lieutenant Gubernatorial (Governor’s) Race: Russ Carnahan (D)

  • 49 people voted for Carnahan (53.8%)
  • 22 people for Parson (21.7%)
  • 9 people for Hedrick (9.9%)
  • 10 people for Leach (11%)

Winner of the Mock State Treasurer Race: Judy Baker (D)

  • 52 people voted for Baker (56.5%)
  • 20 for Schmitt (21.7%)
  • 12 for O’Toole (14.1%)
  • 7 for Hexem (7.6%)

All the judges were retained in their positions
